Donald Braswell New Beginnings
Donald Braswell New Beginnings is a live concert recording by America's Got Talent finalist, Donald Braswell II. He was showcased in a live mini-concert on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Detroit Public TV. Circulation for the concert was the Detroit PBS studio's range into 5 states and Canada. The concert filled an 8-9pm (eastern) time slot during the studio’s pledge week.[1]
The concert
The producer, Diane Bliss, describes how she spotted Braswell during competition on the America’s Got Talent and fan emails prompted her to eventually form the marriage between PBS and Braswell. Bliss previously orchestrated Riverdance, Michael Bublé, and Daniel O’Donnell PBS performances. Braswell displays a broad repertoire of opera, adult contemporary, gospel, pop and easy listening. Braswell, a classically trained tenor, is a Juilliard graduate who sings in Italian and Spanish too[1][2][3].
The intimate interview
The DVD includes an intimate interview as the final part of it. In this interview, Braswell mentions his feelings at his first audition on America's Got Talent, his memories from and after the car accident that made him unable to speak for many years, and the creation of his first studio album, New Chapter.
